So What’s Next for the Selected Entrepreneurs?

You are here: Home / Newsletter July 2019 / So What’s Next for the Selected Entrepreneurs?

22 July, 2019

Over the summer, a PUM expert will be assigned to each entrepreneur as an individual coach who can give specific advice and guidance in the process of refining their business idea.

Every Saturday in September, the entrepreneurs will receive entrepreneurial training sessions from Zidi B.V.

7 Modules will be addressed:
Module 1: Qualities of an entrepreneur.
Module 2: Generating and developing a business idea.
Module 3: Developing a Business Plan, including market analysis, financial analysis, and realistic planning.
Module 4: Marketing plan and strategy.
Module 5: Product and Service Development.
Module 6: Human resources management and effective leadership
Module 7: Financial administration.

Prepare to get out of the building
In a start-up, there is no ‘’spare time’’

The sessions will end with a pitch session in the presence of IOM and PUM representatives to serve as practice for the entrepreneurs.
In October, there will be a crowdfunding workshop with the 1% club.

The following themes will be addressed:

  • What do you need to start/grow a business? What financial options do you have?
  • What is the value you create and who do you create it for? Storytelling and pitching.
  • Ins and outs of a successful crowdfunding campaign.

It will be complemented with a training on intercultural communication/marketing by Georgina Kwakye from the Pimpmyvillage initiative.
At the end of this process, 10 out of the 20 participants per country will be selected for a go-and-see mission to Ghana and Ethiopia foreseen in spring 2020!
