CD4D Ambassador Meeting

You are here: Home / News / CD4D Ambassador Meeting

21 March, 2022

We welcomed our CD4D ambassadors during the ambassador meeting on the 7th of March. We took this opportunity to thank our ambassadors for their valuable contributions to the CD4D project, give an update about project developments, and for ambassadors to share their experiences and ideas. We are grateful for the inspiring activities our ambassadors are undertaking to make diaspora engagement more visible in our society.

Last year, we launched the CD4D ambassador campaign to create more awareness about the important role of migration in economic and social development in their countries of origin. We work with ten diaspora ambassadors who are dedicated to making a positive impact in their countries of origin through participating in the CD4D project. The ambassadors are charismatic, inspiring, and have a great deal of experience in their area of work.

The ambassador campaign allows these diaspora experts to share their stories and experiences with the Dutch public. As such, the ambassadors have participated in podcasts (Podcast | Homelands (homelandsadvisory.com)), written blogs (Ayalew Kassahun – Medium), have been featured in articles (The people exporting Dutch expertise back to their home countries – DutchNews.nl), and spoken at events (Update CD4D Ambassador Campaign – Connecting Diaspora ). We look forward to continuing to work with the ambassadors and seeing their inspiring future media outputs!
