Today marks the start of the Global Diaspora Week, a week dedicated to diaspora communities and their contributions to global development. The GDW is there to create awareness, enable collaboration and promote knowledge exchange among people working with diasporas.
This year the GDW focuses on how the diaspora can turn the COVID-19 crisis into an opportunity. During the whole month of October the Africa-Europe Diaspora Development Platform (ADEPT) will give visibility to 14 initiatives that have helped to minimize the impact of COVID-19 on the African diaspora in Europe.
