A selected group of CD4D participants took part in a first crowdfunding training on 7 February. The training was facilitated by Georgina Kwakye, who owns the Pimp my Village website.
The workshop was attended by members of MCAN,a group of young doctors with Afghan background, dedicated to help Afghanistan in the rebuilding process and a health professional from the Sierra Leonean diaspora.
The training proved to be very useful and interactive. IOM will organize similar trainings in the near future for diaspora professionals, who will be engaged in CD4D. In addition we intend to offer a platform, where our CD4D participants can start a crowdfunding initiative for the institution, where they are assigned.
