IOM at Afrikadag 2022

You are here: Home / News / IOM at Afrikadag 2022

10 June, 2022

The Afrikadag took place on the 28th of May 2022 after two years of absence. The Afrikadag was founded to provide a platform for African voices in the Netherlands, to connect people who are interested in Africa and international cooperation, and to discuss cooperation between Africa and Europe on the basis of equality.

Our colleagues represented IOM the Netherlands at the Afrikadag inspiration market.

Last Saturday, we were representing IOM the Netherlands at Afrikadag. Three CD4D Ambassadors gave a workshop about knowledge transfer to countries of origin. Innovations and student exchanges in Sierre Leone, diaspora organizations in the Netherlands and ICT training in Ghana; the Ambassadors managed to inspire the audience with their stories and experiences. Afrikadag provided a great opportunity to share ideas and find new ways to cooperate. We would like to thank the Foundation of European Progressive Studies and Foundation Max van der Stoel for organizing the event.

The beautiful Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam provided a nice background for the workshop.
In this photo, CD4D Ambassador Clement Adu Twum tells about his experiences in Ghana.
CD4D Ambassadors Abubakarr Bangura, Stanley Mbelu and Clement Adu Twum organized a workshop in collaboration with communications expert Georgina Kwakye. They spoke about knowledge transfer and the importance of showing your impact to Dutch society.
