Access to Finance Webinar #2: “Funding Process, Building Investor Deck and How to Navigate Subsidies”

IOM is organizing, in collaboration with Zidi, a series of webinars on access to finance and investor-readiness for diaspora entrepreneurs wanting to set-up or scale SMEs in Africa.

The webinars will take place over a 6 weeks period, every session focusing on a different topic with interesting speakers.

Jeroen van der Heide
Jeroen van der Heide is an energetic, creative mind that combines head and heart in the right dose. As a student, he already thought outside of the box and he always sought a path that was innovative and different, as an Int. Sales manager in the wholesale of clothing this became his specialty. He ensured that K Karl Lagerfeld got a stable base in three years in the Netherlands and Scandinavië then worked for DKNY, and he ensured that Hans Ubbink was expanded internationally: Belgium, Russia, France, and Germany. With this experience, he can call himself an expert in the wholesale of clothing: a driven strategic leader who is always looking for new ways to innovate. These years of Int. sales expertise he takes with him into his new innovative online fashion company TSHARED, TSHARED is an online fashion company that stands for Zero Waste fashion. TSHARED has been sold in 2019. He launched his second company Impakt Tribe in 2018 with the mission to give impact startups access to long-lasting knowledge skills & impact capital, they help more than 100 + companies prepare for investment and raised more then €10 mil in funding so far.

Willem Maas: Willem is the Founder of MKsubsidy. He has built a great community of public funding experts and impact driven entrepreneurs to support sustainable, innovative and social inclusive projects. Fridah is the Founder of Zidicircle, an entrepreneurship and Financing platform that enables Diaspora Businesses and African SME’s raise capital Internationally. She has a vast business & financial sector experience including SME Financing, International Trade, impact investments, Agri-financing, supply chain finance, corporate finance, and financial markets regulations in Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). She has previously worked for the Central Bank of Kenya, PGGM pension fund(NL), FA(NL) among others. She has an extensive reach of the European & African Markets and a large pool of high-quality businesses through Zidicircles diaspora entrepreneurship bootcamp and local networks. She is committed to enabling underserved and Migrant entrepreneurs access affordable funding.

The next sessions will take place on Wednesdays: the 10th, 17th, 24th June and 1st July. Each week we will share the agenda and speakers.
